VPK All Day (Title I Schools) & Wrap Services (Non-Title I Schools)
Leon County Schools offers full-day early learning opportunities for all VPK First students. The structure of the full-day experience depends on whether a child is enrolled at a Title I or Non-Title I school.
VPK All Day (Title I Schools)
At all Title I elementary schools, VPK students automatically receive a full day of instruction at no cost. 8:30am to 2:50pm.
Full-day VPK at Title I schools includes:

Certified PK teachers
-
Play-based, language-rich instruction
-
Small-group learning
-
Outdoor play
-
Lunch and rest time
-
Extended learning through the afternoon
Families enrolling in a Title I school do not pay for wrap services (unless you choice to a Title I school, but your home zone is a non Title I school).
Wrap Services (Non-Title I Schools)
At non-Title I elementary schools, students enrolled in VPK First may participate in Wrap Services to extend their day from:
11:30 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
The Fee for Wrap Services is:
$425 per month plus a one time registration fee of $125
Wrap Services provide:

Supervised classroom activities

Continuation of Creative Curriculum learning experiences

Social-emotional skill development

Outdoor play and structured routines
Payments are made via E-Funds
School Readiness Tuition Assistance (For Non–Title I Families)
Families attending non–Title I schools may qualify for School Readiness tuition assistance to help cover the cost of Wrap Services.
School Readiness assistance is provided through the:
Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend (ELC)

Eligibility is based on factors such as:

Parent/guardian employment or educational status
Families who qualify may receive partial or full tuition assistance toward Wrap Services at non–Title I schools.
